X-ray Baggage Scanner

An X-ray baggage scanner is a critical security equipment that uses low-dose X-rays to securely check the contents of luggage, bags, and packages without opening them. As an object travels through the tunnel, an X-ray source produces radiation, which is absorbed at varying amounts by materials.

Dense objects, such as metals, appear in blue or black, organic stuff, such as explosives or food, in orange, and less dense inorganic goods, in green. This colour coding enables security personnel to quickly detect possible dangers such as guns, explosives, or contraband.
